THERAPY JOURNALS

Thank you for using Therapy Journals (“the App”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle and protect any information you choose to store within the App.

1. No Data Collection or External Storage

On-Device Data Only: All journal entries, therapy Journals, moods, and other personal content you create within Therapy Journals are stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on external servers.
No External Sharing: The App does not share your personal information with any third parties. There is no automated data transfer or backup to external services unless you choose to do so using your own device’s backup solutions.

2. Encryption and Security

Local Encryption: All entries are encrypted on your device’s local storage. This ensures that your data remains protected against unauthorized access.
Authentication: The App may rely on your device’s biometric features or passcode for access. We do not store or access your biometric data; that process is managed exclusively by your device’s operating system.

3. On-Device Machine Learning

Local Processing Only: Therapy Journals may offer machine learning features (e.g., suggested moods or categories), but all analysis takes place on your device. No text entries or other personal data are sent to external servers for processing.

4. Children’s Privacy

Intended Audience: Therapy Journals is designed for users who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian permission to use the App.
No External Collection: Because all data remains on your device, there is no external repository of user information—whether from children or adults.

5. User Responsibility

Device Protection: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your access credentials (passcode, biometrics). If your device is lost or compromised, the security of your Therapy Journals data may also be at risk.
Data Retention: Since your data is stored locally, you control whether or how long entries remain. You can delete entries at any time. Uninstalling the App will also remove locally stored data from your device.

6. Crisis Resources

Informational Purposes Only: The App may contain a list of crisis hotlines or other support resources. Therapy Journals does not operate these services and is not responsible for their accuracy or availability. If you are in an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App along with a new “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the App after any modification indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
