Privacy Policy

On‑Set Safety keeps your crew’s safety data in your Apple ecosystem-on your devices and in your personal iCloud Drive-never on our servers. This Policy explains what we collect (very little), where it lives, and how it’s protected.

1. Where Your Data Lives

• Device + iCloud‑only storage
  Production logs, checklists, crew signatures, PDFs, and location look‑ups are saved locally and automatically synced through your own iCloud account so you can pick up on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

• No developer servers & no third‑party sales
  We do not copy, transmit, sell, or share your data with anyone outside Apple’s iCloud infrastructure.

2. Encryption & Apple Security

• Encrypted at rest and in transit
  iCloud files are encrypted on Apple’s servers and during transfer. Local copies sit inside your device’s encrypted sandbox.

• OS‑level authentication
  Access relies on your Apple ID plus your device passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID. On‑Set Safety never sees or stores your biometrics, Apple ID password, or two‑factor codes.

3. Location & Network Usage

• Just‑in‑time coordinates
  The App requests GPS only to show weather, sunrise/sunset, and nearby emergency resources. Coordinates are held in memory, not logged or transmitted to us.

• Weather & map look‑ups
  Calls to Apple WeatherKit and Maps happen directly from your device; responses are cached briefly on‑device for speed.

4. On‑Device Processing

Any machine‑learning that prioritizes checklist items or flags hazards runs entirely on your device. No text, photos, or signatures are sent off‑device for analysis.

5. Children’s Privacy

On‑Set Safety is intended for professional film crews aged 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live). Because data never leaves your Apple ecosystem, no external repository of children’s data exists.

6. Your Responsibility

• Protect your Apple ID & devices
  If someone gains access to your unlocked device or iCloud credentials, your safety logs could be exposed. Use strong passcodes and two‑factor authentication.

• Data retention
  Delete a meeting or uninstall the App to remove its data from the device and from iCloud after Apple’s standard deletion window.

7. Crisis & Resource Disclaimer

Industry hotlines (SAG‑AFTRA, DGA, IA, etc.) and emergency contacts are provided “as is.” We do not operate or verify these services. In an emergency, dial local authorities immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. A new “Effective Date” will appear in‑app. Continued use after a revision means you accept the changes.
